Genitor's recruitment process

Talented leaders don’t grow on trees

Leadership makes a significant difference, and therefore the recruitment of new leaders is among the most important decisions organizations and companies make. Talented leaders don’t grow on trees. We help identify candidates and assist in selecting the very best among them. We provide our clients with clear advice, and we attach a guarantee to the candidates we recommend. We treat candidates properly and professionally, and we provide them with honest feedback.

We use a range of recruitment strategies to ensure the strongest possible pool of candidates. We advertise positions widely, including on social media, and we use networks and databases for search.

In the selection process, we apply methods that together have been proven to provide the best job performance predictions: personality tests, intelligence tests, cases, and semi-structured interviews. We use the personality test NEO-PI-3, which is one of the most well-founded and best-documented tests on the market, and the intelligence test IST-Screening, a nuanced test for assessing general intelligence.

We follow the guidelines set out in the Danish Psychological Association’s “Guidelines for the Use of Tests in the Workplace.” When we work with public sector organizations, we comply with the applicable administrative law regulations. We treat all information confidentially and operate in accordance with the rules of the Danish Data Protection Agency and with its authorization. We have also joined the Voluntary Code of Conduct for Diversity in Recruitment, and we therefore place emphasis on presenting our clients with a diverse candidate pool and promoting talent development and mobility.

About Genitor’s assessment process

Filling a top position in an organization can be decisive for success or failure. Quite simply. What is less simple is knowing whether you have chosen the right candidate or not. Much can be learned from a CV or uncovered during a job interview. However, some aspects of personality, abilities, and motivation can be difficult to assess.

Genitor has developed an assessment process in which we examine every aspect thoroughly. Our aim is to provide you – and the candidate – with the best possible basis for making a decision. The tests we use are well documented and, together, provide the strongest possible foundation for decision-making.

The assessment process includes:

  • The personality test NEO-PI-3: A well-founded and thoroughly documented test. The test is completed online and takes 30–40 minutes.
  • The cognitive test IST-Screening: A nuanced test used to assess general intelligence. The test is conducted at Genitor and takes approximately 30 minutes.
  • Follow-up assessment interview (1.5 hours) at Genitor: A discussion of competencies in relation to the personality profile, including verbal feedback from the consultant.
  • Reference checks: To validate information and assessments, typically three references are obtained – always by agreement with the candidate.
  • Candidate assessment: We prepare a written candidate assessment that constitutes the overall report from the testing process and the reference checks. The assessment is sent to the candidate prior to the second round of interviews. We present and review the assessment with the hiring committee in connection with the second interview round.
